Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information StrokeSiren collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to keep this short and readable.
Effective
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy applies to the StrokeSiren website, waitlist, and (when launched) the StrokeSiren applications and services (collectively, the “Service”), operated by {{COMPANY_NAME}} (“StrokeSiren,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). You can reach us at {{CONTACT_EMAIL}}.
2. Information we collect
While in pre-launch mode we collect a minimal amount of information. When you join the waitlist we collect:
- The email address you submit.
- Basic technical data your browser sends (IP address, user agent, referrer).
- Anonymous usage analytics about which pages and sections are visited.
When the Service launches, we will collect additional information necessary to operate StrokeSiren, such as account profile data, emergency contact information, medical context you choose to provide, device telemetry relevant to alerts, and location data when you trigger or are in an active incident. That additional collection will be described in an updated version of this Policy before the launch.
3. How we use information
- To notify you about waitlist progress and launch updates.
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To detect, prevent, and respond to abuse, fraud, or security incidents.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with vetted service providers acting on our behalf (such as email delivery, analytics, and hosting), with your explicit consent, or where required by law.
Once the Service launches, emergency-relevant information may be shared with emergency contacts and responders you designate, in line with your settings and active incidents.
5. Data security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of transmitted or stored data.
6. Your choices and rights
- You can unsubscribe from waitlist emails at any time using the link in the email footer.
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing us.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as GDPR or CCPA.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
8. International transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than the one you live in. When we transfer personal information across borders, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective” date above and, for material changes, give you notice through the Service or by email.
10. Contact
Questions, requests, or complaints about this Policy can be sent to {{CONTACT_EMAIL}}.
